History

It is a matter of great pride and honour that Government Polytechnic of Textile Technology has come this far and has become one of the apex institution in Bihar to impart technical education. It was established in 2020 with aim to provide high quality of technical education. It is a constituent academic institution of State Board of Technical Institution approved by All India Council of Technical Education under Department of Science and Technology, Government of Bihar. The sole objective of our institution is to develop higher standards of teaching, promote all round of progress of our students and advocate for the provision of better policies for sustainable development. The courses being offered at present are in the fields of Computer Aided Costtume Design and Dress Making, Fashion and Clothing Technology, Garment Technology, Textile Technology and Civil Engineering(From 2023) of Diploma Course. Mahtma Gandhi strongly believed that “Education means drawing our best of body, mind and spirit in an individual”. What gives me pain is that Bihar which is culturally so rich is economically poor. Here is an urgent need to drive away this poverty and inequality among our fellow citizens. Education, thus becomes the key to remove poverty and promote progress with equality. Swami Vivekanand has truly said, “Give me a hundred youth of Character, I will change the face of the country”. My intention is to build an efficient team of teaching faculty and students to make this college a leading institute of advanced studies on Engineering and Entrepreneurship. I look forward to the establishment of constructive synchronization in work among all constituents of G.P. T.T. Bhagalpur and exploring new opportunities in the area of technical education.
